Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AnswerCalc ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit AnswerCalc (the "Site"). We built the Site to be simple: you can use every calculator without creating an account, and we collect as little information as possible. This document is written for a general United States audience.

Summary

  • No account is required to use the Site, and we do not ask you to sign in.
  • Calculator inputs you type are processed in your browser to produce a result.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We use a hosting provider (Cloudflare) that processes basic request data to deliver and secure the Site.
  • You can contact us at any time with a privacy question or request.

Information we collect

Information you enter

The Site provides calculators. The numbers and options you enter are used to compute a result. This processing happens in your browser. We do not require you to submit personal information to use a calculator, and we ask that you not enter sensitive personal information into calculator fields.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security provider automatically receives certain technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This information is used to deliver pages, keep the Site secure, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate traffic.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site aims to work without advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to operate and secure the Site. If we add privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics in the future, we will update this policy to describe it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works.

Analytics

We may use aggregate, privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are useful and how the Site performs. If used, analytics are intended to report trends in a de-identified or aggregated form rather than to build a profile of you. This policy will be updated to name any analytics provider we adopt.

How we use information

  • To provide the calculators and display results.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Hosting and service providers

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides content delivery, security, and related infrastructure. Cloudflare processes request data on our behalf to deliver and protect the Site. We may use other service providers to operate the Site; where we do, they are expected to handle information consistent with this policy and applicable law.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to service providers who help us run the Site, to comply with law or a valid legal request, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of AnswerCalc, our users, or others. If the Site is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. As a matter of good practice, we extend the following consumer rights to our users:

  • Know and access: request the categories or specific pieces of personal information we have about you.
  • Delete: request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information about you.
  • No sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny you service for exercising these rights.

To make a request, use the contact method published on this site when available. Because we do not require accounts, we may have little or no personal information tied to you, which can limit what we are able to provide.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep automatically collected technical data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and we intend to review this policy at least once a year. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the contact method published on this site when available. No public email address is published for this site at this time.
